Integrated development plans (IDP) are the main planning instrument in a community. IDPs are a statutory requirement and a key tool in developmental local government. The planning process involves working with residents to establish an overall vision, as well as planning strategies to ensure equitable service delivery across the communities, promote economic development, provide infrastructure, and ensure long-term sustainability.
